The first branch of Pizza Hut in Bangladesh to be run solely by women
Bangladesh’s most popular and trusted brand, Pizza Hut, has announced that its Level 5 food court at Jamuna Future Park will be run by women only.
They have taken the lead in Bangladesh to ensure greater empowerment of the female workforce, according to a press release issued on Friday.
At the store’s handover ceremony, CEO of Transcom Foods Limited, Amit Thapa, said the past two years had been very difficult for Pizza Hut due to the pandemic.
The company’s 20th store opened this year at Gulshan 2, and to ensure continuity, they plan to open a number of additional stores before the end of the year.
“Today, I am very happy to start a new chapter in the history of Bangladesh by opening our first store run by women. In this outlet, customer service, store management and food preparation will all be performed by women,” he said.
“The credit for our success today is entirely the customers of Pizza Hut. Their love and trust in Pizza Hut inspires us to do more in the future,” he added.
According to the CEO of Transcom Foods Limited, Pizza Hut is constantly working to build its brand and community, and also assured that steps will be taken to add more female-run stores in the near future to maintain this continuity.
He also wished the whole team this initiative and praised the example they set to inspire other women.
Transcom Foods Limited works on women’s equality and diversity to further the global Pizza Hut initiative. Pizza Hut has the largest footprint among all pizza chains in Bangladesh with food, takeout and delivery services in 20 outlets across the country.
Pizza Hut has spread the love of pizza in Bangladesh and has become more accessible to all customers with unparalleled quality and the continuous opening of new stores.
