This yurt in Hopkinton, NH is a one-of-a-kind experience
Who says you need running water and electricity to have a relaxing weekend? Well, some people would say that. But if you’re someone who likes no-frills adjacent camping, you should probably check out this yurt in Hopkinton, New Hampshire. It is set in a traditional farmhouse with cows, horses and sheep grazing in the fields surrounding it.
The panoramic windows with a beautiful view of the fields and woods are a MAJOR selling point, especially at this time of year.
Reviewers call the Owen Farm yurt “charming, unique, and comfortable.”
Liza recently wrote this review which is essentially poetry:
“Great energetic space to help you recharge. The first night we lay under hundreds of stars and it felt like our accumulated daily stress was draining from our bodies to the ground. Serenade of katydids and of a distant coyote at night, and gentle cattle in the We were very alone, which was perfect, but the people we met were also very friendly!Highly recommend.
Many reviewers also say the pictures don’t do it justice, but it looks pretty cool to me!
The listing says you need to bring your own bedding and towels and there is no shower, you might want to bring plenty of deodorant too!
There’s no shortage of places to sleep, they have 1 full size and 1 roll-up futon sofa downstairs, and 2 single roll-up futons that can be put together for another large bed or used separately. ALSO 2 self-inflating floor cushions. There are 2 long cushions that some have used as a floor cushion (as pictured below)
